Finally things are picking up...

Watched 2 movies on friday.. Blades of Glory with Stef, Liting and Shereen.. and Pirates 3 with my cousins -rachel, tabi, debbie, nicky, naomi & Charles. Blades of Glory was extremely funny.. had a good time laughing really loud.. but will ferell is damn fat lah.. he should lose weight.. the skating wasnt fantastic.. the antics on ice were hilarious.. they had suits which lighted up and funny choreography.. ha.. pirates 3 was good but not great.. Dead man's chest was the best movie among the 3 i suppose.. the third one just doesnt live up to expectations.. I think its probably because Jack Sparrow isnt shown much screen time as compared to the other characters such as barbossa, will & elizabeth.. barbossa was ok, the other two.. bleah .. chow yun fatt was surprisingly good as the Pirate lord of the South China Sea... I think the best part of the movie was at shipwreck cove, where the brethern of pirate lords meet.. was so super funny i tell you.. the pirate lords were real good.. ya.. If you are a pirates fan like me.. i think u would be pretty much disappointed.. and ya !! stay until the credits end.. cos there is a scene at the end of the credits... many people left the cinema i was in.. ha.

on sunday.. the youths were decorating the church in preparation for the youth camp.. could see that they really had alot of fun.. the cancelling of the adonai football training also ensured many guys staying to help as well. Its been long since the youth group bonded together to do something.. it was really fun.. brings back memories of younger days..We decorated 5 homebases for the 5 groups - Adam (Garden of Eden), Samson (Samson's gym), Paul (Paul's prison), Micah (Micah's institute of prophets), Leah(Leah's nomadic tent).. they all looked really good.. the youths are extremely creative !! I'm sure that now they are pretty much excited about the camp.. ha.. me too.. but preparing the games and doing up the powerpoint slides for certain games is not that easy.. still got alot more to go .. arrgh..

Watched Next at Cathay today with Stef and Liting or should I say Rebekah Tan.. ha.. needed the change of environment.. The movie was surprisingly good.. after horrible movies such as wicker man and Ghost rider, Nicholas Cage finally redeemed himself with this movie.. its was kinda fun to watch and even though the ending was anti climax, i think it was the best possible ending after much pondering abt the movie.. yah.. it was an ok movie.

Before the movie, we had almost an hour to kill so we went to starbucks and had coffee.. used my voucher (well actually dad won the voucher) come to think of it, the whole day was spent using vouchers or discounts.. liting had a discount at cathay so it was like 5 dollars for the movie.. and after that we had lunch at some fish shop.. which we could have used liting's 10% discount.. but she forgot abt it.. like !!! ha.. i din enjoy the lunch.. i din like the batter and i felt sick after that.. well anyways, went to buy flowers after lunch and visited mum at the hospital.. shes doing well now.. recovering.. should leave the hospital on thurs i think. stayed at the hospital till like 930 i think.. then we left and ate dinner at tanjong pagar.. I din eat.. the batter taste was still in my tummy.. enough to make me puke.. argh.. sis had some watery watermelon juice which was not nice.. and at 2 dollars, it was really not worth it.. dad had tahu bakar .. he really loves that dish.. Charles anneh bought medium-sized hokkien mee.. enough to like feed 2 ppl.. he finished it himself.. i think he din realise that that medium portion was alot.. ha.

Ya so besides that, think mom and dad cant come with us to Newzealand for the number of reasons.. I was really upset that they cant come with us.. but I've gotten used to the idea not having them coming.. perhaps there is a reason behind all that is happening and we will not see the full picture now.. ya..

after the last rather emo post, I am feeling much better now... I have a feeling that the youth camp would be a great experience for the youths of epiphany.. I forsee people having alot of fun.. I really hope it'll be a great encouragement for those who are coming.. I know Uma and me are excited about the games.. and the youths were pretty much excited about decorating the 5 home bases for the groups.. I forsee good times ahead.

Hmm.. life hasnt been that good lately.. it seems as though a bunch of bad things have been coming my way, which is really discouraging me.. But I believe that God is in control and I have to put my trust in him.. I've been really bored for these couple of days, with only the comp and the agatha christie murder mystery novels i borrowed from the library for company.. I've watched Friends like over and over again these past few days.. they never fail to amuse me.. it has got to be the best sitcom ever ! Well anyways Kavitha has agreed to go shopping with me next tues.. so there is something to look forward to.. tomorrow I'm gonna go out alone.. I need fresh air.. I dun like being cooped up at home.. prob will just walk around some place.. window shop.. perhaps watch a movie alone..I've done that twice I think, after taking MC during army days..haha i used to like go poly clinic, take mc and go watch movie.. haiz.. the things we do in NS.. ha.. Or I might just call around and see who is free.. Every one is busy with something.. I miss my friends.. its like I got no one to hang out with !! .. I think I feel this way cos viki is in Australia now.. I used to hang out with him alot .. so its kinda weird now, cos I dunno who to call.. oh anyways.. watched american idol just now.. was kinda surprised that Melinda is out.. I thought Jordin should have left this week.. Blake and melinda were good.. I am rooting for Blake.. He looks better with the brown hair.. looks more human and friendly.. oh maroon 5 performed at the results show.. and I've replace Katherine Mcphee with the song they performed.. Stef is gonna kill me I know.. but.. hey this song sounds cool too.. ha.. Oh and Cedric.. congrats.. u know me the best.. and to Rebekah tan.. hi !! Mother's day

What is the matter with blogger !! why is it so screwed up ??? Well anyways... to all mothers, Happy Mother's DAy !!! WAs a pleasant day today.. went to church in the morning.. did back up today.. its been ages since i last sang in church.. ha.. was a good feeling.. haha.. and my singing partner was Yoges.. was quite funny cos towards the end of the service during the announcements.. both of us were like talking about graduating requirements and were puzzled if we needed to do 4 or 5 exposure modules.. and she was like how the hell am i gonna do 7 electives in 4 sems.. haha.. througout the singing of the closing hymm the modular requirement thingy was going through my mind and i realised that ya we need to do 5 exposures.. (4 exposures + 1 exposure counted in the 56mcs for the major requirement) ok to all u ppl who have no idea what i'm talking about, just dun bother with what i've rambled on.. ya.. oh today the men's fellowship decorated the church and presented all the mother's with a gift.. I thought it was really nice of them to show such concern for the mothers.. After church went to see periammah.. Had a good time talking to sylvia akka and rosie akka.. oh ya and Joyce akka called from New Zealand.. wished her a happy mother's day... she cant wait for us to go over in June.. well me too.. It'll be really fun ... the whole family is going down.. 12 of us.. anyways.. we went out for dinner to celebrate mother's day with Aunty Elizabeth, Uncle Deva and christopher (bro-in-law's family).. the food was good BUT ...... it was a rather unpleasant experience.. everything was like sold out.. horrible i tell u.. if they told us they din have the items before we ordered would have been ok.. but once we ordered, one by one they told us that some dishes were not available.. I dun think we will ever go to that place again. ha..

Recent outings..

I am really thankful that I have such great friends... Yesterday I met up with Reynard.. we did alot of catching up.. we talked for a long time.. It was such an encouragement to me and it really made me realise how good my God is.. Jesus rocks!! Here's a shoutout to Reynard - YOU ROCK Buddy !! and u're such a blessing in my life.. really..

Yah so anyway after that, we walked around bugis and decided to explore singapore.. so we walked towards arab st and after a while did not know where we were.. ha... we took alot of photos though (he has still yet to send me the pics) Reynard is a bigger cam whore than me.. seriously.. anyway.. we found a bus stop and took 100 to serangoon and made our way home from there.. ha.. Reynard told me something which I found really funny.. Cos hes doing social work, he visited some social work centre where this lady was telling them that once during a cab ride, she had mentioned that she was a social worker heading to work i think.. and the cab driver asked her why she was not going Geylang.. he had confused social worker with social escort.. like what the hell !! hahaha..

On to today.. met up with shan, sentill and ishu for lunch.. we went to sakuntala's .. I love the food there man... super super super.. Briyani never tasted this good.. we ate alot. alot.. i feel so full even now.. had to skip dinner.. after that, Sentill drove us to Mustafa where he and shan wanted to get deodorant (I know, like ...... what !!!) but sentill ended up getting a dvd player as well.. it was a funny decision making process. After spotting a player he liked, he decided to call his father.. then Shan mentioned something abt getting jewelry.. so we all went into the lift to go up to the jewelry section.. I din know which floor it was in.. so i just pressed 2.. then when it was going up, shan asked where we were going..I mentioned jewelry.. and she was like .. I NOT BUYING NOW !! NExt week !! Ishu and me were like !! u say u want buy .. and u mean to say u entered the lift without knowing where we were going? so we wanted to go down back to the dvd section.. but at the second floor these 2 chinese men came in and asked if we going up.. we could have nicely told them no.. but shan had to say yes.. so we ended up going to the 4th floor and back down to basement 2 again.. and when we left the lift, sentill had just finished talking to his dad on the phone about buying the dvd player.. so he was on the phone deciding with his dad throughout the duration of our lift adventure.. hahahaha.. so funny I tell u.. laughed like crazy... so after mustafa, we went jothi store cos ishu had to get flowers for her mom.. then we went to bishan for window shopping.. shan wanted to go popular.. I was like ?? POPULAR !! shan u are weird.. which normal person window shops at popular.. ya but we all ended up going there.. and window shopped for o level assessment books.. after that ishu bought shoes and we went to Macs for milkshakes.. Met pravind at bishan too.. coming home from school.. its been a while since I saw him.. ha.. ya.. so since the exams ended, I've been stuffing myself with food almost everyday.. tomorrow i will only eat fruits.. oh and.. Watched Spiderman 3 yesterday.. I thought the movie was ok.. the best among the 3 spidey movies.. but .. I dun really like the whole spiderman franchise.. i think its overrated.. there isnt anything fantastic about spiderman.. horrible casting.. I dunno why but I find the lead actors kinda annoying .. ya.. but I liked eddie brock and Gwen stacy in this movie.. I would definitely choose Gwen stacey over Mary Jane lah...a pity spiderman chose otherwise.. and Topher Grace who played eddie brock/venom was good.. I liked the way he played the character.. at first I was apprehensive about the choice of him as eddie brock.. but then after watching the movie.. I think only him and the actress who played Gwen Stacey were the only actors i liked in the movie..

Anyway.. today.. after practice went over to tha tha's house.. and the 'cousins' - me, tabi, amos, debbie, marcus, nicky & levi had a good time playing hide and seek and the pillar game downstairs.. was so funny lah.. cos levi was throwing tabi's stuffed dog into the basketball hoop.. and it got stuck.. and we were trying really hard to get it down.. debbie tried carrying tabitha.. nicky tried carrying levi.. I caught the whole thing on video.. was so funny i tell u.. ya.. then I managed to throw my slipper to knock it off in the end.. here the photos i took while playing catching and hide and seek..

Exams are over !! yeah !! to celebrate. went for movie with viki and vikram.. watched Wild Hogs cos am intending to watch Spiderman with akka on friday.. but the movie was great !! its really really funny.. the 4 leads had amazing chemistry together and the gags and the dialogue was funny... a good laugh which was greatly needed.. anyway.. back to the exams

today had acting and Empires paper.. I didnt understand what the acting questions were about. I just wrote whatever I felt like writing.. apparently, after the exam while talking to my other classmates, I realised that i was not the only one to feel this way.. Jasmine was like Gerald got teach us that meh? ha.. anyways.. attempted to study empires at the library from 12 to 4 but ended up doing very little.. The empires paper was better.. God really helped me, gave me strength and inspiration.. this was the first time, I had such a clear chain of thought and it was amazing ot be in total control of what i wanted to write. I didnt have to make any amendments to my previous statements, i did not go blank halfway and I had alot of content to touch on.. hopefully I do well..
