Marvel?

Ok Ishu and me met the other day, having ice cream from MACs alongside the singapore river.. and we were discussing our sad lives.. Ishu started working since feb and shes had no free time for herself since.. and me being bogged down with essays and projects.. and I've come to realise that I've only watched a grand total of 5 movies in 2008 ! THIS IS SO NOT ME ! my jc & army friends would be shocked to find out that i've only watched 5 movies in 3 months.. it used to be 4 movies in 2 weeks previously.. oh man.. hahaha.. so ya these are the movies i've watched this yr

1. across the universe
2. Alvin and the Chipmunks
3. 27 dresses
4. sweeny todd
5. 10000 bc.

sad eh? well its actually not my fault. there is nothing exciting to watch nowadays.. and i'm steering clear away from kids movies.. omg alvin was really bad.. so i'm not intending to watch horton.. or anything other thing which has a cheesy kiddy title such as 10000bc.. 2 mistakes out of the 5 i've watched.

post no 181.

Ok its 133 am and I'm still doing work.. too stressed already.. so decided to blog to take my mind off things and vent frustrations.. Every sem i go through a hell week and ta-dah! for year 2 sem 2 its this week. woah.. got a cold war debate tomorrow, where I've got to talk about Honecker for 7 mins. I'm scared.. I dun want to screw it up. I've got 4 main points and I'm done with only 2 and a half of them at the moment. still got 1 and a half more points to prepare for.. so after the debate tmrw, i've got acting for screen scene work preparation project thingy to do at 4 (right after the debate) oh man! Tues night and whole of wed will be spent doing christianity essay which is due on fri and thurs will be stage and screen practical projects, which will probably be another film. Looking back, Year 1 sem 2 was also as bad http://wonderboi85.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html

To be contined...

I've come to realise today that there's no point in running away... doing wat i do is amazing and it may be tough and stressful and intense at some times.. but I'm doing it for someone who died on the cross for me.. It's gonna continue.. and nothing is going to make me stop... today was a new experience.. Palm sunday 2008, different in terms of tradition, but significant in the life of nat.

The Great Schism of Jerome's Vulgate..

So yesterday had an interesting experience which was utterly embarressing.. It was during Cold war tutorial and we were talking about Leonid Brezhnev.. in case if u were wondering, Brezhnev was one of the many soviet rulers lah.. so the discussion abt him went on.. and out of no where I decided to talk and said that I think Brezhnev was better than his predesessor as he was healthier and liberal. OMG that was when the whole class started bursting out in laughter.. It was bad enough to call a communist liberal, to mention that he was healthier.. WAT WAS I THINKING ! that was when prof M wrote CRAP ! in big capital letters on the board.. totally screwed up there nat.. and Prof M had to publicise my name like alot of times in front of the class.. now everyone knows me as the guy who talks rubbish.. damn it.. thank God i was wearing a cap yesterday.. so i just covered my eyes with the front of it and looked down throughout the remaining lesson.. totally embarressed..

today spent most of the day studying for Christianity test.. supposed to meet Justin at like 10 in the morning, but being nat, I only woke up at 11.. rushed to school and started mugging.. Christianity in World History has got to be the BEST history module I've ever done in NUS.. Justin and me were having a ball discussing the weird acts of some of the popes and laughing really loudly at some instances.. for example, there is this thing called the Great Schism.. the name itselfs sounds really weird and funny.. if u get what i mean.. and the Great Schism is basically the split between the catholic church (west, Rome) with the Orthodox Church (East, constantinople) .. and how the pope (leader of the west) and the bishop/petrach (leader of the east) thought they were superior than the other and basically excommunicated(throw out) each other from their church. how lame right.. and the excommunication doesnt stop there.. along the way there were conflicts between certain kings and the pope.. king phillip the fair from france and some pope whom i cant remember.. the pope claimed that he was superior to the king and that his job served a divine purpose while the king's job served a humane purpose.. the king responded by taxing the clergy and removing them from the judicial system.. then the pope decide to retalliate by excommunicating the king from the church (this was serious as at that time as excommunicated ppl were not able to participate in confession and communion and other sacraments, hence a one way ticket to hell apparently) ... the king not happy with the excommunication, sent troops to capture the pope and imprisoned him ! hahahaha ! Justin and me thought this was hilarious and laughed like crazy lah.. till some elderly looking guy at the library scolded us.. then met Raudah and Adilah who were asking us random questions like 10 mins before the test the the term Jerome's vulgate came up.. someone apparently found it really funny cos it sounded like vulva.. hahaha.. that was when we came up with the whole 'The Great Schism of Jerome's Vulgate' tagline.. oh btw Jerome's vulgate is the list of books which were compiled into the old testament as decided by Jerome. and Both Jerome's vulgate and the Great Schism came out on the test ! we all burst out laughing once we saw the paper.. History ROCKS !

haha anyways.. changed the song to Funky town for March.. superb song i fell in love with while watching friends.. and its the official natsang song.. cos both Sang and I love it ! woot !

Ok so other than DSD and birthdays, was busy with school stuff.. filming for acting for the screen. The movie turned out well.. Kym Campbell seemed to like it.. so thats a relief.. I must really thank God for Liting & Dawn, they managed to turn the film into something really good. yup.. however I must say that this is the 1st sem in my NUS life that I'm not enjoying my theatre modules.. I dunno why but i find them a drag and tedious. haiz.. but my history modules are amazing ! nvr had soooo much fun during history tutorials before.. cold war is awesome!
